Protect Your Trip with Cruise Travel Insurance

We know luxury cruises can come with luxury price tags, and are often once-in-a-lifetime holidays. Unfortunately, things can still go wrong, which is why Travel Insurance is so important. Most policies come with the option of cancellation cover, and this can range from £1,000 to £12,500 per person, however, if your luxury cruise has cost more than that, then we can provide additional “top up” cover to the value of £50,000 (terms apply).

Secure peace of mind with cruise-specific Travel Insurance. We can provide you with cover up to 18 months in advance, so get a quote today. If you’re looking for travel tips for your luxury cruise, check out our blogs.

Travel Insurance for Luxury Cruises FAQs

Why is specifying cruise travel necessary when getting a quote?

By answering yes to the cruise question your insurer knows you are cruising and we will show you policies that cover cruises and some that have additional cruise benefits.

With destinations varying in medical treatment costs, how should I list them for a single-trip policy?

When getting a quote from Just Travel Cover, we will ask you a range of questions, including where you are travelling to. You must list each country separately to make sure we provide you with appropriate cover. For annual cover you simply need to choose European or Worldwide, but always check the countries that are covered.

I've planned my luxury cruise well in advance. When should I get my insurance?

It is recommended to get insurance as soon as possible after booking your cruise to ensure you have appropriate cancellation cover in place. We can offer cover up to 18 months in advance of your cruise, so get your quote today.

Are there age or trip-length restrictions on travel insurance policies for cruises?

Yes, each insurer has different terms and restrictions depending on age, length of trip and destination(s). You may also find restrictions on annual policies where you are travelling more than 31 days at a time. When getting a quotation online, we’ll only show you policies that cover you, so you can then make an informed choice based on the information provided. If anything is not clear, feel free to give us a call.

I need to cancel my Caribbean Cruise, am I covered?

With Cruise Travel Insurance, you will be protected if you need to cancel your holiday for an insured reason, such as a change in medical circumstance, death of a close relative, a change in FCDO advice, or an accident which means you cannot travel.

Make sure you check your policy wording for what is and isn’t covered. With our standard cruise policies, you can claim up to £12,500 per person for cancellations. However, when taking out your insurance, if you require more, we can cover up to £50,000pp. Simply give us a call to find out more.
