Affordable Holiday Insurance for All Ages, Conditions and Destinations

Travel Insurance is an essential part of your holiday planning, and it is important to check if your policy meets your needs.

It can cover your medical expenses if you’re injured or have an accident while you are away. It may also cover the cost of getting you home, if it’s a serious injury, or you miss your scheduled flight due to a stay in hospital.

You should arrange holiday cover as soon as you book a trip, so that you’re covered for any monetary loss if you need to cancel for some unforeseen reason such as illness, death of a family member or having a serious accident that prevents you from travelling.

Travel Insurance will often cover your luggage too, if it is lost, stolen or damaged.

At Just Travel Cover we work with a range of providers and will compare prices to help you find a Travel Insurance policy. There’s no age limit and cover for hundreds of pre-existing medical conditions.

Your destination is limitless; we offer cover for world cruises, single trips and our annual multi-trip policy covers you for as many trips as you want to take within 12 months. No matter what your age, we want you to enjoy life and travel wherever and whenever you wish. It is better to be protected against any unforeseen circumstances – even before you take off, it’s important to arrange cover as soon as you have booked your holiday.

Tips for Travelling to Indonesia

A trip to Indonesia is a bucket-list trip for many. Here are some tips to help make the most of your visit to the .Emerald of the Equator’.

Carry Cash

For small vendors and markets, make sure to carry some Indonesian Rupiah. Outside major areas like Bali and Lombok, cash machines are more scarce, so it’s a good idea to exchange some cash before your travels. Foreign cards like Visa or Mastercard are widely accepted.

Beware of ‘Bali Belly’

Drinking tap water can cause stomach problems in Bali, so it’s best to drink bottled water at all times and ask for drinks without ice when ordering in bars or restaurants.

Cultural Etiquette

Indonesia is a mostly Muslim country, so make sure to dress appropriately, covering shoulders and and knees in rural areas or religious sites. You may also need to remove footwear when visiting places of worship, and should avoid large displays of public affection which may be considered disrespectful.

Getting Around

Attractions are widely spread out across the country, so you may want to hire a driver who can help you get around and point out some of the sights along the way. Renting a scooter is also an option, though you’ll need to make sure you have an international driving permit and make sure this is covered under your insurance.

Indulge In Local Delicacies

Indonesia is known for its vibrant, diverse cuisine with popular favourites including Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Satay (grilled skewers with peanut sauce), and Redang (slow-cooked beef curry). If you have any food allergies, make sure to declare these on your Travel Insurance and clearly communicate these when ordering in restaurants.

When to Visit

Dry season runs from May-September, and is usually the best time to visit Indonesia with sunny days, lower humidity, and optimal conditions for exploring beaches, diving, or hiking. July-August is peak tourist season, so it may not be the best time for you if you want to explore main attractions without large crowds.
