Travel Insurance for Brain Cancer at Just Travel Cover

At Just Travel Cover, we believe everyone should be able to experience the joy of travel. That’s why we offer tailored Travel Insurance for brain cancer and other types of cancer, along with hundreds of other pre-existing medical conditions. Many of these are offered with no upper-age limit unlike other insurers, and made specific to your needs.

To help you find suitable Travel Insurance for brain cancer or a brain tumour, we’ll ask a few questions about your trip, like your age, destination, how long you’ll be away, and, importantly, about your medical history. This helps us match you with policies that can provide cover for your pre-existing medical condition(s). You’ll usually see options in Bronze, Silver, and Gold, making it easier to compare benefits and choose the right level of cover for your needs.

What Questions Will I Be Asked When Applying for Brain Cancer Travel Insurance?

When applying for Brain Cancer Travel Insurance, we’ll need to ask you a few questions to help us understand your condition and needs. We understand some of these may be difficult for you to answer, so if you’d prefer, you can have someone answer on your behalf. Just make sure your chosen person has a copy of your diagnosis and current treatment plan to help them provide the right information.

Questions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Has the cancer spread to the brain from somewhere else in the body?
  • How long ago was your last cancer treatment for this condition?
  • Has the cancer been completely removed or destroyed?
  • Is there any further treatment planned?

Depending on your answers, we may ask a few follow-up questions. This is just to help us make sure that we present you with Travel Insurance policies that cover all your pre-existing medical conditions to ensure you are adequately protected.

All policies and claims are subject to acceptance criteria and policy terms and conditions.

Affordable Holiday Insurance for All Ages, Conditions and Destinations

Travel Insurance is an essential part of your holiday planning, and it is important to check if your policy meets your needs.

It can cover your medical expenses if you’re injured or have an accident while you are away. It may also cover the cost of getting you home, if it’s a serious injury, or you miss your scheduled flight due to a stay in hospital.

You should arrange holiday cover as soon as you book a trip, so that you’re covered for any monetary loss if you need to cancel for some unforeseen reason such as illness, death of a family member or having a serious accident that prevents you from travelling.

Travel Insurance will often cover your luggage too, if it is lost, stolen or damaged.

At Just Travel Cover we work with a range of providers and will compare prices to help you find a Travel Insurance policy. There’s no age limit and cover for hundreds of pre-existing medical conditions.

Your destination is limitless; we offer cover for world cruises, single trips and our annual multi-trip policy covers you for as many trips as you want to take within 12 months. No matter what your age, we want you to enjoy life and travel wherever and whenever you wish. It is better to be protected against any unforeseen circumstances – even before you take off, it’s important to arrange cover as soon as you have booked your holiday.

Travel Insurance for Brain Cancer FAQs

What does Travel Insurance for Brain Cancer cover?

Brain cancer Travel Insurance covers emergency medical expenses abroad related to your condition, illness, or sudden injury. Cancellation cover is included should an unexpected change in your health mean you can no longer travel, as well as repatriation if it is deemed medical necessary for you to return home before the end of your trip. Added benefits like baggage cover are also included, protecting you in the event your luggage is lost, stolen or damaged.

Are travel options limited for those with Brain Cancer?

If you have brain cancer and are worried about travel options being limited, this largely depends on the stage of your diagnosis and your level of health. If your doctor has cleared you for travel, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to travel with specific brain cancer Travel Insurance. Some brain cancer patients may be advised not to travel due to the increased risk of pressure or swelling in the brain from air travel, which can exacerbate certain tumours.

It’s important to make sure you have consulted with your doctor and/or treatment specialist to confirm you are medically fit to travel, and create a travel plan that caters to your specific needs.

How does having Brain Cancer affect the cost of insurance?

Having brain cancer may result in a higher insurance premium compared to someone travelling without this condition. This is due to the increased risk of you potentially needing to seek unforeseen assistance abroad. It’s important to remember that the price of Travel Insurance will also depend on other factors including your age, the destination, the duration of your trip, and any other pre-existing medical conditions you have.

Is there an upper age limit for Brain Cancer Travel Insurance?

No. At Just Travel Cover, we believe everyone should be able to experience their dream travels, no matter their age or medical status. Can I buy Travel Insurance for someone else with Brain Cancer?

Yes, you can buy Travel Insurance on behalf of a friend or relative who has brain cancer, provided you have their permission to do so. In these instances, we ask you to ensure any information you provide during our medical screening is accurate as incorrect information can invalidate the insurance. It’s a good idea to get a copy of the person’s diagnosis, care plan, and/or a doctor’s note confirming they are fit to travel to help with this. You should also have the person check all of their details if possible to ensure these are all correct.

Can I get Travel Insurance while I’m still waiting for a Brain Cancer diagnosis?

No. You cannot get Travel Insurance while awaiting a brain cancer diagnosis. At Just Travel Cover, we do offer Travel Insurance for those awaiting a diagnosis for lots of pre-existing medical conditions, however we are unable to provide cover for conditions relating to the heart, lungs, breathing, or cancer. If you are awaiting a diagnosis for brain cancer, you’ll need to wait till you receive your results and diagnosis before booking specialist Brain Cancer Travel Insurance.
