Travel Insurance for Africa
Before exploring Africa’s wonders, secure Travel Insurance for Africa
Scenic safaris, historic city breaks and some of the world’s best beaches – Africa has it all and is often the holiday of a lifetime for those who experience it. Whether spotting wildlife in Kenya, visiting the national parks in Zimbabwe, Botswana or South Africa, or the sandy shores of Mauritius, Travel Insurance for Africa is essential.
Travel Insurance for Africa is a must-have
At Just Travel Cover, we work with a panel of insurers to provide people of all ages a policy they can rely on. Compare prices from different insurers in just a few moments and get the peace of mind you need to get back to planning your African adventure. We’ll show you a list of policies, so you can find the best Travel Insurance for your holiday to Africa.
Don’t forget to declare any pre-existing medical conditions, just in case you need any medical treatment while you’re in Africa, and rest assured you will be covered should that happen.
Secure Cancellation Cover for your trip to Africa
Our policies also include cancellation cover should something go wrong and you need to cancel your trip to Africa for an insured reason. This should be enough to cover more than the cost of your entire holiday, including flights, accommodation, and any planned activities. At Just Travel Cover, we offer up to £12,500 cancellation cover as standard. If you’re concerned this isn’t enough to cover your holiday, we also offer Top-Up Cancellation, which includes an additional £50,000 cover per person upon referral.
Make sure you secure your Travel Insurance for Africa as soon as you book your trip (ASAB). This way you can rest assured that cancellation cover is in place and your holiday is protected should you need to cancel. Always check the terms and conditions of the policy and check FCDO guidance before you travel as you will not be insured if the FCDO advises against travel in a certain country within Africa.

It’s essential to have your Travel Insurance for Africa in place before travelling to Africa; whether your final destination is Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, or anywhere in between, you want to remember this trip for all the right reasons. In Africa, you’ll find a mix of private and state hospitals, and you will be charged for any treatment or medication you receive. If you fall ill or become injured and require medical attention, it’s worth remembering that healthcare can be extremely costly, so you should make sure your Africa Travel Insurance has adequate cover.
